My name is Joel Gaines, and I am honored to serve as the new principal of Armstrong Elementary School. It’s a privilege to join a campus known for its strong tradition of academic excellence, caring educators, and a supportive community of families.
With more than 20 years in education—as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and district administrator—I have seen firsthand that every child has the ability to achieve greatness when given encouragement, opportunities, and support.
At Armstrong, my vision is to ensure that every student feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn. Together with our dedicated staff and families, we will continue to build a joyful and inclusive school culture where learning is celebrated and success is shared.
A little about me personally—I’m a proud supporter of public education, a lifelong learner, and someone who loves building strong relationships. At home, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our three children.
