Principal's Message

Ms. Laura Ramirez

It is my pleasure and honor to introduce myself as Principal of Neil Armstrong Elementary School.  I am proud and excited to be a part of this wonderful community.  I look forward to supporting our students and their families.

This is the start of my 24th year in education.  My career began here at South San Antonio ISD as a bilingual elementary teacher.  In addition to my classroom teaching, I served in other leadership capacities.  As far as my education, I received my Bachelor’s degree from Our Lady of the Lake University and my Master’s degree from Texas A&M-San Antonio.

Like you, I am a parent as well.  I have an 18-year-old daughter, who has truly been a blessing.  I also have two fur babies who are great companions.  

I view education as a lifelong process.  Here at Neil Armstrong Elementary, students are the center of all school-related decisions.  I am excited to bring my experience, my openness to learn, and my child-centered approach to support our students.  

Relationships between families and the school are vital to the success of our students.  I encourage you to become involved in every way possible.  I look forward to the collaboration and support we will be able to provide each other.

I am here to make every effort to help your child reach his/her fullest potential.  I am committed to give my all to our students and I will request the same efforts from our staff.  Together we will continue to move Neil Armstrong Elementary School students through a safe and rich learning environment that will prepare them academically and socially for bright futures.
