 Biological Classification System:

I am providing this list of classification terms in order for students to begin to understand the system used by scientists to organize all life forms according to their similarities and relationships.  Carl Linnaeus began developing the system over 200 years ago that gradually changed into the system that we use today to give names to organisms.

Tetrapods (superclass) are animals with four limbs.  "Tetrapod" means four feet.  Any animal that has four limbs is a tetrapod.
